Author Guidelines

Arkeologika: Jurnal Kajian Budaya, Sastra, dan Sejarah is a scientific journal that publishes research findings and studies on culture, literature, and history. This journal accepts manuscripts in both Indonesian and English languages. Submitted manuscripts must meet the following criteria:

1. The manuscript must be original and have not been previously published in other media.

2. The manuscript must be written in a clear, consistent, and coherent academic style.

3. The manuscript must adhere to the writing format specified by the journal, which is as follows:
- Title: The title should be informative, concise, and engaging. The Indonesian title should be accompanied by the English title.
- Author Names: The authors' names should be written in full without academic titles or positions. If there are multiple authors, they should be listed in the order of their respective contributions.
- Author Affiliations: The authors' affiliations should include the names of their institutions and email addresses.
- Abstract: The abstract should include the background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the research or study. The Indonesian abstract should be accompanied by the English abstract. The maximum length of the abstract is 250 words for each language.
- Keywords: The keywords should consist of 3-5 words or phrases that represent the main topics of the manuscript. The Indonesian keywords should be accompanied by the English keywords.
- Introduction: The introduction should provide the background, problem statement, objectives, literature review, and theoretical framework of the research or study.
- Methodology: The methodology should explain the design, population, sample, data collection techniques, and data analysis techniques used in the research or study.
- Results and Discussion: The results and discussion should present the findings and interpretation of the data systematically and logically. The findings should be supported by relevant and accountable empirical evidence. The discussion should connect the findings to relevant theories and literature.
- Conclusion: The conclusion should summarize the results and discussion concisely and clearly. The conclusion should address the problem statement and reflect the objectives of the research or study.
- References: The references section should include all the cited sources in the manuscript. The reference list should be arranged alphabetically by the last name of the first author. The citation and reference list format should follow the 7th edition of the APA (American Psychological Association) style guide.

4. The manuscript should be submitted through the online journal system by registering as an author on the journal's website (http://journal.arttour-publishing.com/index.php/arkeologika/about/submissions).

5. The manuscript will undergo an initial selection process by the editorial team to assess its suitability with the scope and format of the journal. Manuscripts that pass the initial selection will be sent to peer reviewers for the peer-review process. Authors will be notified of the peer-review results via email and asked to make revisions if necessary.

6. Authors are responsible for the content of the manuscript and the accuracy of the presented data. Authors are also responsible for any copyright issues related to the submitted manuscript.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
