Exploring Cultural Values and Rituals in the Kaago-ago Ceremony
A Case Study of the Barangka Community

This study focuses on the exploration and interpretation of the Kaago-ago Ceremony in the Barangka community. The goal is to understand the meaning and symbolism in this ceremony. Using qualitative methods involving observation and interviews, the study reveals that the Kaago-ago Ceremony serves as a spiritual rite to combat disease and calamity, and also to maintain communal values. This ceremony involves various symbols and elements, all of which have specific meanings and functions in this community.
