Abstract

The aim of this community service implementation is to enhance the creativity and story writing skills of students while relating them to their school environment. This training uses a participatory approach by involving students in the development of writing skills. A series of activities include the exposition of the concept of story writing, the development of school-based environmental themes, and mentoring in the writing process. Students are encouraged to explore their personal experiences in the school environment as inspiration for stories, increasing their engagement in writing activities. The results show a significant improvement in students' writing skills as well as creative story variations, reflecting their experiences in the school environment. In addition, this training strengthens students' awareness of the importance of the school environment, enhancing their understanding of environmental values and responsibilities. This training has positive implications for improving students' literacy and environmental awareness. It is expected that this method can be expanded to other schools to enhance student learning in terms of writing and environmental concern. This training on story writing based on school environmental experiences successfully improved the writing skills of MI Al Fath Kota Kendari students while strengthening their awareness of the importance of the school environment. Such training can continue to be developed as an integral part of a sustainable learning program.
