Developing Student Creativity at MTsN 2 Konawe through Kriya Art with Jumputan (Tie-Dye) Technique

This community service project aims to develop the creativity of students at MTsN 2 Konawe through kriya art using the jumputan (tie-dye) technique. The problem identified was the lack of practical art lessons at the school, especially in the fields of fine arts and kriya art. The proposed solution was to provide training in kriya art with the jumputan technique, introduce the techniques and materials used, and give students the freedom to choose their own colors and techniques. The activity was conducted for one month, from November to December 2022, at MTsN 2 Konawe. The implementation method included a preparation phase, such as an initial survey and coordination with the school principal, and a workshop phase, which involved explaining the material and hands-on practice of making jumputan. The results of this activity show that the program ran smoothly and provided new experiences for both students and teachers in developing artistic creativity. It is hoped that the school will be able to incorporate jumputan kriya art into its practical lessons to optimize student creativity.
